Pastor Louise Hilbert came to St. James in
June 1999 after serving congregations in Durham, NC and West
Columbia, SC. She is a graduate of
Florida State University with a
B.S. in Social Welfare. After graduation from Florida State she
worked as a school social worker in the
Duval County School System
Title 1 programs.
For ten years Pastor Louise stayed home with her
children and then returned to work as a Parish Worker in Education
and Family Ministry in Jacksonville, Florida. When she answered
God’s call to ordained ministry, she began studies at
Lutheran
Theological Southern Seminary and received a Master of Divinity
degree there in 1989.
When not involved in leading and sharing the many ministries at St.
James, she loves to work in the yard, take walks, read mysteries,
and cook.Pastor Louise and her husband Larry are the parents of
three adult children and grandparents of a granddaughter.
Born Timothy
Lee Lloyd, December 9, 1954 in Pensacola Florida to native
Floridian, Dorothy Kaser Lloyd, and a New Jersey transplant, Frank
I. Lloyd, Jr. Tim moved to North Carolina at age 3, and has
lived in the Piedmont and Coastal Plains since. Tim’s father
is a minister in the United Methodist Church (now semi-retired and
working at a small church near Sanford). Tim has one sister, Debbie
who lives in Suffolk Virginia with her husband and daughter.
In 1971, The Lloyd family moved to Fayetteville his dad was the
associate minister at Haymount United Methodist Church.
He has two daughters, Sarah and Hannah. They both are
pursuing careers in music. Tim graduated from Terry Sanford High
School in 1973, and later Methodist College where he pursued degrees
in Science and Music (Vocal Performance).
It was a privilege for Tim
to study with Alan Porter, Professor of voice, and Jean Ishee,
Professor of piano and organ. They were both very influential in
Tim’s decision to finish his degree in music. Besides directing the 11:00 and
8:30 choirs, Tim enjoys working with the children of St. James’
during special occasions such as Christmas, Mother’s Day, and
Vacation Bible School. Most of all, Tim is pleased to be at
Saint James, serving God and the wonderful congregation here.
Michelle Dix joined our staff in March, 2006. She earned her
Associates in Business Administration while residing in South
Germany and first moved to Fayetteville in October, 1995. She
married her husband, Will, in April, 1993 and has two children, a son Darian, age 11
and a daughter Celina, age 9. Her interests include reading, bicyling,
traveling, gardening, and going for long walks.
